Get well soon Noam!

We bid a sad farewell to Noam last Friday as he returned to Israel to seek medical attention. For the first time in EWB-MIT history we had to send a student home because of illness. Noam developed flu-like symptoms a few days after arriving in Uganda. He got better after a few days of rest but his symptoms of headache, fever, and aches and pains returned. We took him to the clinic in the village and to Byansi Clinic in Masaka for treatment. He was tested for many illnesses including typhoid, malaria, meningitis and yellow fever but all tests were negative. Noam decided to return to Israel to seek medical care. We (Noam and Marisa) travelled to Entebbe on Friday so Noam could catch his flight. He is safely back in Israel now and we hope he gets better soon!
